What is Dutas 0.5mg Capsules?
Dutas 0.5 capsules is a medication primarily used in men for treating the symptoms of an enlarged prostate caused by a disorder called Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia(BPH). The drug helps to relieve BPH-associated symptoms such as difficulty in passing urine, weak stream, and the need to urinate frequently or urgently(mostly during the middle of the night). Regular use of this medication in the long term can improve the symptoms completely and also reduces the need for surgery to treat BPH.
How does it work?
Dutas 0.5mg are soft gelatin capsules containing Dutasteride as an active ingredient which is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. It works by blocking an enzyme that is necessary to change testosterone to another hormone that is generally responsible for the growth of the prostate and causes enlarged prostate which brings urinary problems, the drug prevents that particular hormone and helps to shrink the prostate, and relieves the symptoms associated with BPH.
Dosage Indication
