Zaha Eye Drop - Medicine Information

Zaha Eye Drop is primarily a macrocycle antibiotic medicine that is extremely effective at treating bacterial infections in the eyes. Zaha Eye Drops 3 ml contain azithromycin, which kills conjunctivitis-causing bacteria. It is used for treating a wide variety of infections in adults and children.

Medical Benefits

Bacterial conjunctivitis - Inflammation of the transparent membrane lining the eyelids that causes pink eyes.

Trachoma conjunctivitis—This condition affects the upper eyelids, conjunctiva, and cornea. As a result of infection, the eyelids turn inward, which is known as trichiasis.

It is important to know that Zaha eye drops should not be used by anyone under one year of age. They are very effective at treating bacterial conjunctivitis, but to get the most effective results, make sure that you take them under the supervision of your doctor.

Ajanta Pharma Ltd is the company name of this medicine.

How does it work?

Zaha Eye Drop inhibits the synthesis of the proteins bacteria need to function. As a result, it prevents the bacteria from growing and ensures that infection is not spread. You might experience blurred vision after using this eye drop, so avoid driving or working with machinery.

This eye drop belongs to a class of medicines called Macrolide Antibiotics, which effectively treat infections. Zaha Eye Drop should not be used by anyone who suffers from hypersensitivity or severe liver impairment.

These effects last almost 2 to 4 days and can be seen within 2 to 3 hours.

How to use it?

You need to apply Zaha Eye Drop precisely in the same manner as your doctor prescribed it. Depending upon your condition, your doctor will prescribe the eye drops. Use the medication at an evenly spaced time regularly. If you feel better after a few days of treatment, make sure you use the drops for the total amount of time your doctor recommends.

If you stop taking the medicine between or before your doctor prescribes it, you may experience the eye infection returning or worsening. When you are suffering from a bacterial eye infection or while you are using this eye drop, make sure that you do not wear contact lenses.

If you missed a dose of Zaha eye drops, take it as soon as you remember, but if it's time for the next dose, skip it. Try to use the eye drop at the same time every day so that you remember using it regularly.

  • To rejuvenate your eyes naturally, it would be best if you slept at least six to eight hours each night.
  • Wash your eyes at least twice or thrice daily with clean water. Avoid washing your eyes during the first two weeks following eye surgery.
